Article: Pg A2 [Teen sex: It’s up to parents to draw the line]

“Girls are so modern these days!” That’s an exclamation one hears often from the old folk, they don’t mind to be flattering. Girls nowadays are so ‘modern’ that they are having sex in a younger and younger age. Teenage sex seems to beon the rise in most of the developed countries. With no sign of babting, never mind that sex under 16 is illegal, and sex with girl under 14 is considered statutory rape . Males, old or young will get the book thrown at then if they have sex with an under 16 girl.

United states and britain set the consent age at 16 but no would relise tthat given the sex and pregnancy figure among teenagers.

In my opinion, i think that teenagers under age should not having sex , even though the male will get punishment but the female should also some punishment, both of them are in the wrong (if the female willing to have sex). I do not think that sex under age is a fun thing to be done , if they wants to have sex , they can do it anytime after 16-18 years , they can do as much as they like.
