SMU students shaken but safe pg1 (Straits Times coverpage)
After reading the article, I realized that even studying abroad isn’t something that we all could ‘enjoy’. If we are inexperienced in what the other countries’ situation is like, we may never know when a disaster could happen. The next thing we know, we could found ourselves in a near-death situation, maybe trapped between walls due to a sudden tremor of the earth. Thankfully, those who were involved in this mishap escaped; unharmed. It is sort of sad that they came to the country with high hopes of enjoying their studies there but ended up worrying about their lives because of that tragic night. This made me imagine of what I would be like if I were in that situation. It is surely something that I would not be able to get over or forget about. I guess I am sort of lucky to be stuck here in Labels: nabilah |
