I think these people living in Chille or pitiful although they are used to Earthquakes. But even though they are experienced with earthquakes, but it couldn't be helped . It is a pity that it happened at night as if it happened at day, lesser people will die. Due to the earthquake, most of their mundane lives are disrupted. I think that other countries should sent in financial aid, people for support. But on the bright side, they are more prepared for aftershocks. " A journalist emerging into the darkness street scattered with downed power lines" I think the goverment should take measures like making buildings which can withstand strong quakes and should have made the electrical lines underground and these could prevent the futher loss of lives. Singapore is lucky that we do not have earthquakes due to geographical advantage. But, we cannot take it for granted. I think we should donate money to help those who are in help in Chille. It is also intresting that they didnt mention the earthquake's alarm system. Charlene Yeo(4) |
